A secluded area with a long beach great for privacy and the avoidance of crowds. Find seashells and shark’s teeth along the beach when the tide is out. You can walk and walk along the shore of this beach with minimal hindrances.

Islanders Beach Park

This beach access has a boardwalk to the water, showers, restrooms, a playground, picnic facilities, and seasonal lifeguards. These are clean and well-maintained facilities. Space can fill up quickly during peak times.

Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park

A historic wooded park with plaques, walking trails, an observation deck looking over wetlands, a picnic pavilion, and beach access.

Folly Field Beach Park

A tranquil beach with outdoor showers and restrooms. Rent seasonal umbrellas and lounge chairs for sitting on the shore. Lifeguards patrol the area during the summer for safety.

Driessen Beach Park

Public spot with bathrooms, grills, seasonal lifeguards, picnic facilities, and showers.

Burkes Beach

A large, serene dog-friendly stretch of public beach with metered parking, outdoor showers, and restrooms. This beach is great for long walks.

Chaplin Community Park

Very close to Burkes Beach, Chaplin Community Park has an off-leash dog area, tennis courts, basketball courts, beach access, picnic areas, a playground, and a soccer field.

Coligny Beach Park

Oceanside park with walking mat to the ocean shore and biking paths. Plus WiFi, splash pad, swings, beach-equipment rentals, and seasonal lifeguards.
