There’s no shortage of things to in Hilton Head Island. With the beach, restaurants, museums, bars (and a distillery!), and parks, you’re sure to find something for the whole family to do. Check out these nine (9) things to do on Hilton Head Island.

Sea Pines Forest Preserve

This is a protected area for wildlife and outdoor exploration. Guests can visit this area to view alligators, birds, turtles, and other creatures along the bridle paths, wetland boardwalks, bridges, and fishing docks. Hike the area and soak up the archaeological site, take a boat ride/tour, ride horseback, embark on a fishing expedition, or take a wagon tour. View the 4,000-year-old Sea Pines Shell Ring, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Harbour Town Lighthouse

The Harbour Town Lighthouse is a landmark icon for Hilton Head Island and to people all around the world. It’s just over fifty years old and not only does it serve as a light to the many ships in the area, but it’s also a remembrance of Hilton Head Island’s history. Each level is dedicated to a time period of the island’s history. While at the lighthouse, take a walk through the gift shop, rest in the rocking chairs, see cruise ships and yachts, and maybe even see a dolphin! Admission into the lighthouse is $4.95 per person and children 5 and under are free.
